Pillbox (type Fw3/22)

29/05/1992 An unusual basic type 22 pillbox, but built of brick walls with a concrete roof. There is an 18ins x 10ins embrasure in each wall and a narrow entrance on the N side. The interior is in very good condition, and the roof is lined with corrugated iron sheeting - still perfectly sound - with which it was originally shuttered. In addition, the original wooden boards, used to hols the sheets in place, still remain across the ceiling.
