25/10/2000 After the failure of the underground bunker (see UORN 13516) , a second bunker was built. It was constructed within a large dynamited hole of corrugated iron sheets in nissen hut style. It measured approx. 20ft x 8ft, and had one entrance in the form of a counterweighted trapdoor which was well camouflaged with turf, etc. It was furnished with bunks, and was used for the storage of ammunition and explosives. It was demolished at the end of the war.
