05/2001 One of two coast battery gun sites that were covered by a large wood and brick structure made to look like a boathouse. Each site had a 4. 7in QF naval gun, made in Japan in 1917. This site in front of Ness House was destroyed in 1993 by South West Water. (See also UORN 6515).
22/11/1995 Gunsite for 4. 7inch gun, made in Japan c. 1917 - concrete platform with renovated brick surround; front slope of concrete. Site now used as a rest area. Overgrown. Manned by 362 Coastal Battery, 555 Coastal Regiment, RA. now DESTROYED.
