An interesting place to visit. It's quite hidden. You have to hike up through private olive groves, and even then, it's quite a search among the trees and bushes. We met a very friendly farmer who was harvesting his olives there and took the time to give us a tour! Inside the bunkers and the shooting post, there are QR codes. These codes provide more information. Apparently, there's an "Archaeological Route of the Spanish Civil War of Priego de Córdoba" that includes several bunkers from the region. This is where Franco's forces (on the side of the province of Córdoba) fought against the Republicans who came from the province of Jaén. The (half-collapsed) trenches are also still visible.

I'm shocked that this rifle post was here (and installed), because I don't know what, or rather, who, they would have been shooting at. It seems unprotected and weak. How sad the story of a Spain that was dramatically cut in half.
