02/1999 Anti-seaplane defences on the E Looe River estuary located between the main Looe river bridge and the Terras Bridge along the estuary to the N. This stretch of river could have been used to land seaplanes at high tide, but this was thwarted by locating tree trunks about the size of telegraph poles on the river. These logs were secured at one end only to enable them to swing about in different directions to create a hazard to any German attempt to land on the river.
