30/12/1997 Probably a sandbagged weapon pit set up in an ambush situation for a column held up by the roadblock near the railbridge. Suitable position for spigot mortar or northover projector. Responsibility for the defence was with No. 15 Platoon, 1st Worcestershire (Worcester) Battalion HG. Nothing remains of the position now.
