20/06/1996 WW2 road block consisting of approximately 12 square sockets, in three parallel rows, set in road surface at entrance to Old Harbour jetty in Newlyn Harbour. These sockets are now concreted over, but in original state would have been fitted with removable concrete plugs. In the event of invasion, the plugs would have been removed and steel girders would have been slotted into the holes to impede progress of tanks or other vehicles.
