22/11/1999 This anti-tank wall was built across the entire width of Hemmick Beach - a total length of 41 yards. It is constructed from concrete blocks with concrete infill and is 48ins wide, with an average height of 5ft. It is built in two lengths with a gap in it to allow a stream to run through.
This gap is 45ins wide. The longer 26 yard length of wall is stepped in two places due to the shape of the beach. A short length of about 10ft has been removed to allow access to the beach. Otherwise it is in good condition. The National Trust has faced the wall with delabole slate since the war as a decoration.
