Movik Fort is a historic German WWII coastal fortification located near the Skagerrak Straits in Norway. Originally constructed by the German military during the occupation of Norway, the fort once housed a massive Krupp 380mm cannon, which was the second largest in the world at the time. The cannon had a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles) and weighed 337 tonnes.
The fort sits in a commanding position overlooking the strategic waterway between Norway and Denmark. Today, the site is closed to the public due to safety concerns, but it remains an important relic of Norway's wartime history and military heritage.
