Description

Auxiliary unit operational base. Used by the Sampson patrol of the Worcestershire group of auxiliary units, controlled by the Van Moppes. This was a typical two roomed base accessed by a round vertical shaft to the main corrugated iron room. Originally, it did not have a ventilation shaft or escape route, both being added by the patrol.

The structure was destroyed some years ago. The information on the site was given by a Mr. Boaz, a former member of the Sampson patrol. He identified the site on the old 6in map (attached to record) and confirmed its demolition.
