05/1996 Spigot mortar base, concrete with stainless steel pin. Various attempts have been made to destroy the base. 30/10/2002 Square spigot mortar pedestal, only the top of which is showing above the ground. The upper reinforcing bars are partly exposed. The large stainless steel spigot has apparently received some blows. This was an anti-tank spigot mortar position, being some 100 yards from the bridge it was protecting.
